A Life Lived
One Scoop at a Time

Ice cream isn't just Leah's favorite food — it's a genuine passion. The kind where you notice every new shop that opens, detour on road trips for a highly-rated soft serve, and spend an embarrassing amount of time debating whether salted caramel crackle is objectively perfect (it is).

"There is so much ice cream and so little time."

For years, the dream was a definitive New England ice cream bracket — every shop ranked head-to-head until one champion emerged. But the thing about a bracket is it requires going back, and there are always too many new places calling. So instead, this: a living map of every scoop, every rating, every strong opinion. Part love letter to New England ice cream, part public record, part excuse to keep eating it every single day. (She's lactose intolerant, by the way. Takes a Lactaid every time. Has never once reconsidered.)

The Science of the Scoop

Every visit is rated across five categories on a 1–10 scale. The combined average becomes a star rating out of 5 — with decimals, because some places deserve a 4.3 and not a 4.
